FFS suggests me to copy same files from left to right and from right to left. FFS shows in the bottom bar that there are 6.000 files (3,40 GB) on the left and 5.903 files (3,40 GB) on the right are different. So I ran FFS with the option of "content check" and compared these two folders.įFS listed many files in the folders, and it seems all of them are the same files, with same dates & times, same file names and same size. Today I decided to see what are the differences between such folders and make them equal. But actually there are 16-17GB in size (each). I checked the properties of both directories in Windows to make a size comparison it showed that they are 3-4 GB in size (each). However there were some errors being showed during copy, so I clicked "skip all" during copy operation. I created local folder by copying external folder via Windows native copy. So I dont think it is extracting each zip file.
I am keeping the folders having the same version of the zip files in them. I am just comparing the files themselves for difference overall. I have two folders, one in a external 4TB drive, one in local SSD drive. 1 Local and 1 Network with 150+ zip files. I have been using FFS for a long time, this happens for the first time to me. I have also manually checked SHA-1 hashes of some files. When I compare individual files via WinMerge, it says the two files are the same! But still it claims that it is "only in left" and "only in right". WinMerge lists same files as "only in left" and "only in right" like FFS. Update 1 : I have checked using WinMerge the two folders. Update 2: chkdsk found no problems in any of the disks. It showed that the total size of the contents of the directory is 19.1GB (92.927 items).
